Why This Category Is Harder
Freeze drying removes almost all the water from a food, and that is exactly what makes the finished product so unstable. A freeze-dried nugget will pull moisture straight back out of humid air, and when it does it loses the texture and the shelf life the process was supposed to buy. On top of that, raw recipes are high in fat, which oxidizes, and the pieces themselves are brittle and break into dust if the bag lets them tumble. A package that is merely good is not good enough here.
Barrier Is the Product
For most pet products the barrier protects quality. For freeze-dried raw it protects the entire premise of the food. These are the builds we use.
