Supplement Packaging

Small Packs, Serious Protection

Supplements are the smallest thing you will package and often the most sensitive. Powders cake, oils go rancid, and soft chews dry out. We build pouches that keep an active ingredient active right to the last scoop.

  • High-barrier films for powders and oils
  • Scoop-friendly openings and reseal
  • Low minimums for new formulas

Why Small Bags Are Harder Than They Look

A supplement pouch looks like the easy job on a brand's packaging list, and it is usually the fiddliest. The pack is small, so there is very little surface to carry a long ingredient panel, dosing instructions, and the claims the category runs on. The product is often a fine powder, which gets everywhere, works its way into zipper tracks, and refuses to reseal cleanly. And the whole point of the product is a measured active ingredient, which means moisture and oxygen are not just a freshness problem, they are an efficacy problem.

Keeping an Active Ingredient Active

Moisture is the enemy of a powder and oxygen is the enemy of an oil. Both are the enemy of a probiotic. The barrier choice here is driven by the formula, not by the shelf.

  • High and extra-high barrierFoil and metallized builds for moisture-sensitive actives.
  • Grease-resistant layersOil-based formulas that would otherwise stain through.
  • Headspace planningRoom for a desiccant or absorber when the formula needs one.
  • Reliable small-format sealsPowder in a seal is the usual cause of a leaking small pouch.

Powder and zippers are a known fight. Our post on resealable bags covers what actually holds up.

Details That Make a Daily Product Easy

A supplement gets used every day, often in a hurry, usually with one hand.

  • Wide OpeningsEnough mouth to get a scoop in and out.
  • Durable ZippersOpened daily for the life of the pack.
  • Tear NotchesA clean first open above the zipper line.
  • Hang HolesPeg-ready for retail and vet counters.
  • Matte FinishesThe clinical, premium look the category expects.
  • Panel PlanningDielines laid out to fit a long ingredient panel.

On a small pack, panel space is the real constraint. It is worth laying out the dieline before the artwork, not after.
